So 4speedfunk, mkmcgreg, schwarttzy and cgalpha08 (myself) met up at Badlands Off road park today. The day started out cold but soon turned into cool temperatures and clear skies.
Despite being 4 wheel parts appreciation day, the park was not too crowded.

Here are some pics i took of that day, i know other have more, i mostly took video (im working on compiling it now)

I know others took pics as well, so i know we are all looking forward to seeing those. The video i have will feature 4speedfunk getting some air, as well as Schwarttzy 3 wheelin', along with some other trail riding.

Stay tuned!!

Looks like a great time. 4Speed made that first climb look easy. Different story for a more stock Schwarttzy. At least we know his rock rails are sturdy  (@12:25).

I dont have it on video, but schwattzy went up the same spot where 4speed did, but the place where he couldnt get over as you see in the video, 4speed did. If schwarttzy had 35's he would have made it no problem.

Well....not exactly. He would've made it but, I think calling it "no problem" might be a tad misleading. Even with 35"s it would be a challange.

This guy absolutely whipped his H3 to get this far up the ledge. It was awesome to see a guy push his vehicle this far to make a climb. Standing around watching this was quite a treat to everyone present, and it proves how capable a stock H3 can be...if you know how to drive it, and you have zero fear of damaging it. Although it looks like an all-out flogging...Schwarttzy was actually very calculating and precise in his approach, and it was truly fascinating to watch in person. It was a lesson in technique, balance, throttle, brake...all the subtle adjustments that need to be made to get 5000lbs of steel up something this steep. Even though he didn't crest either of these obstacles, (and spent most of the day on the strap)...this guy knows exactly what he can get away with, and when to call it quits. Clearly he is very experienced with rock crawling, and being a midwest-wheeler I learned a lot in just a couple hours with Schwarttzy.

BTW...never consider buying a used H3 from this guy!
