Truck loses power

So I'm driving home this morning from work and my 3 loses power and cel comes on. Traction control system failure message flashes. Pull over shut off truck and restart and all's fine. Just took kids to practice and happens again except this time engine stalls. When I turn key hesitates to crank but starts and runs fine. Gonna check codes when I get home but figured I'd start with u guys first. Any of this sound familiar.

Start by checking your battery terminals. From what I've heard, loose connections on the battery can cause all sorts of electrical weirdnesses

That happened to me one time about 2 years ago and has been reported by a lot of H3 owners. I limped mine to a service station and shut it off. Went inside to talk to the guys to see if they had any ideas. When I went back to my truck it started with no CEL's and ran just fine. No problems (with that) since. Might just be a hiccup.

Weak or failing battery could be the culprit too though I'd check terminals first like Laguna suggested.

Yes, it threw 3 codes at me
1- p0305 misfire cylinder 5
2- p2135 pedal position sensor
3- p2176 throttle position not learned

P0305 was always there, but other two seem to involve throttle body and throttle body harness. I cleaned tb about two months ago. Can they just simply fail. Wiring harness is intact and plugged in.

Other than battery or terminals as mentioned I had this happen to me and it was after I had messed with the MAF while installing my intake tube. I forgot to plug it back in and the same display came up for traction control. I tried it again just to check it out and it threw that display again.
Check to make sure you got the plug on there good. Might have been and anomaly but I can repeat it on mine.
Check to see if the pins are all the same length not pushed into the back of the plug.

Let tuck sit all day. Just went out and started it cause red sox starters always give up 4-5 runs and it's very frustrating. It fired right up and no engine lt. Didn't do anything besides unplug throttle body connector check plug/ pins and wires. .

I had a similar issue awhile back when my H3 was brand new. The truck would slowly lose power and speed...so bad I had to pull over. I put it in park. Shut it off. Restarted it. Everything was fine for a couple weeks. Then I noticed that this problem also coincided with my cruise control not working. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the brake light switch (on the pedal, I think). Apparently the switch would stick "closed", and cause all kinds of problems. Other than that...it sounds like a possible battery issue. Check the ground (black) cable in particular.

If it happens again I would order a new pedal assembly it's cheap (under 50$ with shipping) I kept having that issue spent months trying to figure it out and driving around in reduced power. The dealer at one point replaced my PCM I guess their are some that we're recalled that was free. I also replaced the throttle body but I would try that last that was around 400$ good luck

Ok.problem went away for a bit (couple weeks) but just happened again. Battery is good, ordered and installed new pedal assembly, didn't fix it. Checked Maf sensor since I had cleaned it a month before and it was correctly reinstalled. Figure Ill try throttle body next and then if it don't work put it down. Ha that's my thoughts right now, better sleep on it.
