I previously installed 35s on offset wheels but whenever I had to go for service/warranty claim I had to swap em to my older 3 in order for the dealer not to void my warranty!
Also installed a GM performance exhaust (got it online, shipped halfway across the globe and installed and still cost me half what the dealer quoted me). They said nothing coz GM performance was stamped allover it

MY WARRANTY IS STILL ACTIVE!...(although highly voided). A funny fact... At only 41K miles...I've had more axles than oil filters!
I wanted to ask you if regearing an alpha to 4.56 is worth it? I am about to go for it but im hesitant and some input from someone who actually done it wld help.
Hard for me to separate that upgrade with other ones along the drive train; that said I am very happy with the gearing.
Just installed the 40" LED using the cross bars. This is how it turned to be...
I utilized the weatherstrip at the top of the doors to channel the wires from the engine bay back to the light bar. I drilled 2 holes for the wires to cross theough the moldings at the top of the doors.
Still have to wire the switch back inside the cabin, drill it somewhere and bolt the relay inside the engine bay.
Special thanks to forum member humvee for helping me out with the wiring. Hopefully I'll be done tomorrow.

Just had a small accident today. Other vehicle tried to cut into my lanr and i had no room yo avoid it. Ended up with a clean and shiny tire while the other car has a bent rear fender.
I believe the less offset of my wheel helped keep the damage away from the body.

Small Update, got the Bilsteins and the Body lift installed. Truck handles great on road, offroad its on a new level (high speed stuff). Offcourse Im comparing front reservoirs to beat up stock shocks, but its a huge difference in ride quality.
Still need to re-drill the bush guard so its raised 1" to match with the raised body.
PCM Tune is here and E. Exhaust Cutout (to be used strictly offroad, maybe once or twice onroad) is up next.

Looks great. I have been debating doing a body lift, did you trim the fan shroud or rotate it?

Its a v8 not an I5, so I trimmed it, not sure rotating it cld work and its not a big deal. The top part of the shroud I heated it and bent it abit to clear the intake pipe.
Imo, with slightly less backspaced wheels the truck looks perfect (you can also get spacers, anything up to 40 mm wld work on stock wheels w/fender flares no issues)

New Updates, Added an oil catch can to reduce the amount of oil going back through the intake (hopefully I'd keep a cleaner throttle body for a long time esp since Im using a K&N oil filter)
Started taking pictures of my wheeling trips:
Modded the UCA metal stop to have a Control Arm bushing on it. It stops the loud metal clunk that happens at full drop and completely stopped the metal bind in the C.V.s that used to happen afterwards. Only problem is, they don't handle alot of abuse. Im running a 1" thick one and it lasted 3 wheeling trips (150 miles total) and one of them is starting to rip apart.
Hit 100 K (Kms) on the odometer:
Added a trans cooler, trucool 30K GVW, 34K BTU, just in time as it hit 110+ f for a week now.

I promise you. No one is celebrating more than GM!
To be honest I was happy with the warrenty, but also I cldnt modify my truck in any way since it woild've voided it. Now that Im out, I could do anything I want with it!
As an update to the trans cooler, my trans temp dropped down from approx 220 f down to approx 160 f at ambient temps of 110 f. Thats a solid 60 degree drop. Im going wheeling tomorrow so Ill update this with how it performs under high loads.

When I bought my Alpha, an unspoken benefit was it was outside of the warranty period. After my problems with my GTO, GM mechanics and GM warranty - I can't imagine the day when I'll buy another new GM vehicle.
Thought I would update here:
Applied wipe new on all exterior trim pieces ( pillars, rocker panels, bumpers, hood louver, mirror handles and roof trim).
My initial impression was that it restored the plastic to a shiny dark color, it looks new. The oroginal cracks in the plastic paint still visible, but not easily as all plastic is now dark. You can see what I mean in the first picture.
I had the plastic parts masked as to not have any of the liquid on the metal. Overall it took me 3 hours for the whole job (I was doing it in hot weather)
