H3T - Sunroof One Piece or Two Pieces of Glass?

Hi All - I have been struggling with a sunroof leak, and after checking the normal stuff to no avail (tubes are attached and flowing free), I dropped it off at my local GM dealer for them to look at. They quickly called me back and said my sunroof doesn't appear to be factory. The glass is in two pieces and the buttons don't match what are in the manual....they said. Hmmmm. My sunroof has a small front glass that flips up to vent, then a larger rear glass that slides all the way back. I can open either or, or both at the same time. The controls are in the center of the headliner at the front of the sunroof. It’s a circle with 5 buttons on it (I think). That sound familiar to anyone? I know a picture would be better, but can't get to it right now. I would love to be able to tell them they are incorrect before I go pick it up. Since it is apparently not a warranty item now, they want $500 just to drop the headliner and take a look at it.

Sorry to say, but that is not OEM. OEM is one large sliding glass panel with a basic forward/backward rocker switch up near the reading lights.

Try to find out who installed it in the first place. If they are a good reputable company they may fix it for you. If they are halfway across the country, then you have a problem. Does anyone have suggestions on how he can locate previous owners? Carfax can somtimes get you in the ballpark.

I find it comical that I assumed it was a factory sunroof and never really paid it any attention. The manufacturer is printed clearly on the frame. It is a Webasto twin vent sunroof. Linky here: http://webastoshowroom.com/07H3_TVS940.html
