    Steering Wheel Rocking....

    http://youtu.be/bm-EQTkHnzo

Well all of a sudden my steering wheel got loose, I barley ever drive Big Black and he has low miles and I NEVER pull on the steering wheel to get into the vehicle either. It It does not rock forward and backwards at all now side to side... but if I push down on one side the opposite side lifts up and you can not only feel it, you can hear it as well. Anyone else have this problem? This is on a 2005 H2.

I just noticed it yesterday when I was backing up from parallel parking and I cut my wheel so I'd angle away from my mail box (I was parked on the side of the road). The front tire went on the grass and when it met the driveway the truck stopped rolling backwards, so I gave it some gas and that's when it rocked for the first time. Not sure if that caused it, or just caused me to notice it...

Hi! Welcome, and good to see you here! FIrst, you might want to post this in the H2 section. This is more for the actual use and function of the forum, not our trucks.

As for the issue, I also have a 2005 with about 40K on it now and it is tight as new. I haven't heard of this issue before. From what it sounds like it is loose where the steering wheel mounts to the steering column? That is kind of odd to come loose there. Definately want to figure that out! It would really suck to have the wheel come off while driving!

Definitely get it looked at, it could very well be a simple fix. -But don't take any chances with your steering.

    Too busy driving your SRT?

That is pretty weird though... Loose shaft?

Bimmer, good to see you on here. Welcome. Sorry to hear about the steering issues with Big Black. I have not expereiced that or heard of that problem before. Did you check the shaft where it connects to the power steering. When I replaced my centerlink and tie rods with the Kryptonite kit, I noticed the bolt the holds the shaft to the power steering was a little loose, but I did not have the same issue you are having though.
