    Tillamook Forest Snow & Sand

Went to Browns Camp today with a friend to go wheeling today. Forgot that when the weatherman says it will snow in the valley and doesn't happen, that pretty sure it will still snow up in the hills.

This was the staging area. It was 40 degrees and the snow was very slushy.

Went up one trail in the slop and decided it wasn't worth it. We were sliding all over the place and the snow was 8" deep.

So we headed back out to the highway.

Instead of heading east and going home, we went west to the coast. Sand Lake OHV area is about 30 min. from Browns Camp. Not a lot of vehicles there and no rain.

We had a blast!! Went up and down the hills, did some cookies by the ocean, and had a great time messing around. My kids thought they were on a roller coaster.

We caught some air climbing this little hill. It took a couple of attempts, but it was worth it.

My buddy Mike had to go and get himself stuck.

It was even worse on the drivers side. Hooked him up and pulled him off.

It was a great day. Can't wait to go back.

Sweet! Looks like fun. I really enjoyed Sand Lake last year. We'll have to go out there when it's nice some time. It's awesome there when it is warm and sunny.
