Looking for procedures on how to check for parasitic drain on 2004 H2. Charging system has checked out as being ok, installed new battery. Every 8-12 hrs battery drains. Pulled radio fuses, no change. Anyone know the procedures for checking system would very much appreciate your help.

The process of finding the power draw is similar on most vehicles. Most likely causes are aftermarket electronics or simply the battery (s) are shorted internally / bad. Make sure you are testing with good, clean, fully charged battery's. With the key off and all lights and accesories off start off by disconnecting any aftermarket alarm or accesories power supply( even if the accessories are hardwired in) . Reconnect the wiring and if you have a spark then you know there is a draw. Always use heat shrink connectors to repair wiring. If all the aftermarket stuff seems good then start pulling fuses- one at a time- and reinstalling, make sure to check all fuses and fuse boxes. Most aftermarket electronices will have inline fuses hidden in the worst and hardest to get places. Pull all the fuses one at a time. Once again if you have any tiny spark there is a draw in that circuit
