Bigunit, Reloader, Jeri, Jason and I hit the trails yesterday, running Charouleau Gap from Oracle to Tucson. It's a long trail, about 19 miles, and usually takes us 8-9 hours. But since the Scorpion didn't join us today, we were able to run it in six and a half hours :giggle:. All pics can be found here and downloaded in high res: :link:
A shot from early in the trail before we got to the fun stuff
Jason on a tight switchback
Jeri tackling a slippery, rutted descent
Bigunit at the start of the rocky section
Reloader in that same area
Jason descending down into the dry creek bed
Reloader coming up the Boat Ramp. Normally there's flowing water at the bottom, giving you good wet tires before climbing the granite ramp
Jeri in the standing water in the creek. We were hoping for 18"-24" of flowing water
Jason and Mom
Bigunit and Reloader
The gang
Bigunit in a rock garden that would normally give us challenges; it was easy today
