So what is the actual rating on the factory H2 hitch; is it a class 3? I read somewhere (http://www.lynchhummer.com/h2pages/h2chassis.html) it was class 3, but the rating of a 3 is only 5,000 lbs; so...

I went from an '08 H3, leveled, 35's to an '07 H2 and absolutely love it. We wanted more space for hauling gear around (camping) and more towing capacity for our camper trailer which has now become...
We also have a LOT of hills around here - the idea of towing on the flats is not a luxury I have.
Well, what I will be towing most often is a small camper trailer which is under the tow rating of the H2.
I have been towing quite a few vehicles around lately though and I have been really...
I am realizing this now. I had aspirations to add an air-assist to my coil setup; however, I'm wondering if it's worth spending any money on the thing now.
I'm running the flashpaq on mine - have tried various tunes. I would say there is a bit of a difference on the 91 tunes, but not worth the retail price.
I have heard great things about the Diablo...
Interesting article from Lifehacker. I was recently pulled over in the H2 - I was costing downhill at like 11:30 PM, only vehicle in sight and the bugger pulled me over for going like 18 km/h (11...
At least you're not paying for all these repairs - that is some stealership you deal with.
This is something I was looking into as well; however, none of the companies list increased towing capacity as a benefit and none give any sort of figure. My concern with where I live would be...
Even the 2008 / 2009 generation can do 8,200 lbs - I assume they weigh the same as the 2003 - 2007 trucks and have the same wheelbase.
Obviously they have the 6.2L motor and 3.73 gearing. Do they...
So I must have been delusional in thinking that the H2 was rated for 9,600 lbs... I did a double check last night and it's only 6,700 lbs!
A 2500HD with what I assumed has similar running gear...
Details on this mod?
I recall one of the guys going down to Sunday River a couple years ago having this happen to him on the way down.
I would change all your fluids (not just the front diff) and when you are changing the diff fluids take a look at the gears to make sure you didn't damage them; I assume there was a bit of a struggle...
What is the deal with this anyway? Why does it happen?
I love my H2; my only complaint is size for the trails around here. A lot of the trails were cut for small rigs (read: Jeep TJ) and I would end up pounding the H2 through them - I felt bad doing it...
Thanks Tim!
I already have the VIAIR 10007 (constant duty) onboard air kit so I only need the bags and solenoids from Firestone. I have done a bit of research on them and it seems like they are...
Great feedback, thanks!
I already have the 50A fuse setup as I was towing the camper all last season. I have got into some heaver loads and noticed the rear sagging - I think the other part of...
Thanks - aware of the issue with the factory bags. I assume this is an issue with any air shock system (nature of rubber).
My truck is going to be taken off of trail duty as I have procured a new project truck that will be built for the woods. The H2 will now become my daily driver and tow rig.
My truck came from the...
I would love to have that. no idea what I would do with it.
one of our members picked one up just like it last year IIRC.
What about building the gate yourself? It looks pretty simple in design.
ouch - looks like that truck was put together really well.
Glad nobody was hurt - has their been a debrief from the owner since this video?
Great pics! Welcome to H4O :)
Great idea!
