Badlands - Attica, Indiana on November 5th and 6th

Is there any interest in doing a run to the Badlands (Attica, Indiana) on the 22nd and 23rd of October??? Haven't been there yet... :corn:

I would be shot if I even mentioned I wanted to go wheeling on Halloween weekend.

We host a krazy "adult only" annual Halloween Bonfire Tiki Bar party and it's on the 29th. Most who attend get a cab, pregnant spouse, driving age spawn, metro car or "drunk bus" to cart them to and from this epic event. This years "event" could be the best yet!

i cant make it the 22,23 i have family coming into town. I would be down with Halloween weekend or some other weekend around there. The badlands is literally only about 30 min from me. Id love to get to know some of you guys in real life besides this virutal stuff haha

No problem...pretty familiar with the place. I am still dealing with some post-traumatic disorder issues from one particular rock ledge at the Badlands. My therapist says it might be good for me to re-visit. If you haven't been there, it has pretty much everything...sand dunes, rock garden, hills, river-bottoms, and mud-holes that would swallow an H3. Its rare to have all these different terrains in one place. There is a good blend of technical trails and fun stuff...perfect for noobies to learn about their rigs, (and every nasty trail has a by-pass trail around it). So, you don't have to go someplace you don't feel comfortable going. You'll need a bicycle flag, and the entry is around $20 pp. Hopefully this late in the year...the quad/dirt bike will in hibernation.

Nov. 5th/6th might be competing with the Rausch Run (10.5 hours one-way for me) but, the Badlands is so close that I can always find a hole in my schedule for a quicky run.

I'm tentatively in provided I didn't overlook something in my schedule. Badlands is a really cool place and as 4speed mentioned, when we went in November a couple years ago all the bikes were put away for the winter. In fact, I think the two of us had the entire park to ourselves.

Schedule is clear, so I'm definitely in for 5th OR 6th. I'm just going to do one day. Is it truly a two day thing or are we still deciding the date?

I've heard that it's a large park and we could do two days. Perhaps 4speedfunk could tell us. I haven't been there before.

It is a large park, and if you're coming a distance, you might as well make 2 days of it. 4Speed and I were emailing and I think our preference is Saturday. I would propose that we make Saturday the main event, and then anyone who wants to make it a two day event can stay Sunday as well.

I didn't mean to come off sounding like I was taking over the trip in the previous post. Really either day will work, but my point is I think we should have at least one of the two days that everyone who is going can be in attendance.
