This one was of the loops I wanted to run earlier this Summer with a group. Snowmelt played a big role in holding us off...along with other trails we wanted to run on a 3 to 4 day trip.
So, with the fall colors starting to change the Aspens, we're going to head up Sun. morning.
Going to meet in Baily around 10AM.
Meeting in Baily and running Red Cone down into Montezuma.
Deer Creek/ St John's to North/Middle Fork to Boreas Pass.
That takes you back to 285 for the ride back to Denver.
Should be a full day. Trails are moderate to difficult. Red Cone is the difficult part on a couple climbs and 2 downhills are pretty loose. rear locker is a good idea and non-stock tires (but not a deal breaker if you have experience wheel'n) I have ran it in a stock H3 without issue 2X and had a stock 4Runner along one time too.
